On Saturday we took a drive 70 miles north to Pomona to attend the annual California RV Show. It was a very nicely laid out show with plenty of room between displays. The weather was perfect.
This show is billed as the largest RV show in the west. It might be because its the only one I've attended out here, but it is definitely smaller than both the Hershey RV Show and the Tampa RV Show. That's not a bad thing, just an observation.
Although it was Saturday and a beautiful day to be outside, the crowds were fairly light all day long. No waiting to get inside the rigs and the salesman weren't "too" pushy.
Although we're definitely not in the market for a new RV right now, I believe we found our next ride. Not really, just one of a few extreme RVs at the show.
Since we've been going to RV shows for quite a few years now, we don't waste our time attempting to look at everything, just the types of rigs we're interested in. Right now, that would be MHs only. Because we're very happy with our Tiffin Phaeton most of the time was spent looking at the new 2014 model lineup for that company.
Mr. Tiffin was present and spoke briefly about his company's philosophy toward employees and customers. He was as cordial and easy to speak with as he's been every time we've spoken to him. He personally gave a tour through one of Tiffin's new models, the Allegro Bus 37AP. If we had the money, that is a rig we'd look very closely at. The length is actually 38'11", but the inside incorporates several new ideas from Tiffin.
As are in most manufacturer's lineups today is the L-couch lounge area.
Another driver's side picture looking forward.
Tiffin Motorhomes also brought a "bare chassis" to the show. This is Tiffin's proprietary chassis they named the Powerglide which is currently used on the Breeze and the Allegro Bus lines.
All in all, a very enjoyable day walking around and looking at different MH manufacturer's product lines. Now when we win that lottery......
Thanks for dropping by to take a look!
Be careful going to those RV shows. New motorhomes have a way of following you home!
ReplyDeleteWe have to look closely at Tiffin on our next go around. Not that we're unhappy with Winnebago, just have to closely and compare the two.
Hope to get to the San Antonio one, the ones in VT were pitiful, Dave keeps looking at the MH's as they come in, who knows what the future holds.
ReplyDeleteGlad you got to go to that show! Thanks for sharing the pictures.
ReplyDeleteBest not look too closely at them, you might have to go back to work as they look very expensive.
ReplyDeleteWe were introduced to the "L-Shape" in the Tour. Don't think it's for us. It woulld replace my office. And no one will ever talk us into a fireplace...well except maybe Karen LOL
ReplyDeleteOh, if only Steve listened as well! :-)
